Diana Parziale

Raised in Wappingers Falls, New York, Diana spent her teen years playing guitar, singing, and writing folk songs with friends from high school. Her mother was a trained opera singer from Boston who retired from performing to raise a family and sing in church choirs for many years; and Diana remembers sitting in on choir rehearsals and being able to hear her mother’s strong soprano voice above all the others.

She performed in various bands throughout her years in school and her folk trio performed in a Hudson River folk festival beside the sloop “Clearwater” with Pete Seeger.

Diana went on to study art in Boston and continued performing in coffeehouses as part of a duo where her influences became more blues- and rock-oriented.

After college she took a hiatus from performing; working as a graphic designer. Diana has since returned to performing and writing songs since joining Phil and Ron in 1993.
